In this section you will find the equivalences between teaching hours of each of the courses offered by the Institute of Languages and the credits obtained, and that are validated by optional credits.

Validation of titles

The Institute of Languages recognizes courses passed in other institutions, in this section there is the list of centers the degrees of which they can be recognized.

This accreditation only avoids doing the level test thus allowing access to the next level without the need to perform the test, does not certify the recognition of credits or level by the Institute.

Senior Program students can sign up for the general course offer organized by the Language Institute.

Students may only enroll after the second year of enrollment.

German: levels A1, A2 and B1

English: levels A1, A2, B1, B2.1, B2.2, C1.1 and C1.2

Catalan: levels B2, C1 and C2

French: levels A1, A2, B1, B2.1 and B2.2

To access the general language courses, except for the initial courses (level A1), it is necessary to have passed the previous level course, present a recognized certificate or take a level test.

The level tests will be carried out on September 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in classroom 2.01 of the Multipurpose building of the Cappont Campus.

Interested people can come during this time to take the test. The maximum duration of the test is 1.5 hours. The results will be published on the website and on the bulletin board of the Institute of Languages on September 6.

Procedure: the registration will be face-to-face in the Secretariat of the Institute of Languages.

Registration hours: Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Monday to Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Documentation necessary to formalize the registration: certificate of the previous level (if no level test or any course has been done at the Language School of the Institute of Languages).

Deadlines:

Enrollment of former students of the Institute of Languages ​​of the course 16/17 *

Students of English courses 16/17 can enroll in the next level course (or at the same level, if they have been suspended or have not taken the exam) preferably from July 12 to 19, 2017.

Students from Catalan, Spanish, Occitan, French, German, Italian and Chinese from 16/17 and from the 2017 summer English courses of the UdL Language School can enroll in the next level course (or same, if it has been suspended or not submitted to the exam) preferably on September 4 and 5, 2017.

New student enrollment

Level A1 courses: from September 6 to 18, 2017.

If there are vacancies, the registration will continue open.

* People who have been enrolled in a language course during the previous academic year and want to continue studying at the immediately higher level (or the same, if suspended or suspended) are considered alumni of the Language School of the Institute of Languages have not taken the exam) of this language.

In addition, if the students attend at least 80% of the classes and carry out the tasks of the course, they can validate the course with ECTS credits (depending on the number of hours of the course), as an optional subject in the curricula of the degrees linked to the UdL Senior Program (up to a maximum of 12 ECTS).

The credits to be validated will always be OPTIONAL.

This section only lists those centers whose level certifications are accepted for all the languages taught, for other certifications and more specific centers recognized by the UdL Institute of Languages, the table of recognized certificates (Requirements) must be consulted. The validation of a level certificate gives access to the post-validation course without the need for a level test. The accreditation of the passed course must be presented (certificate of the institution where the course has been carried out).
